Package description

Designed for anyone working with or handling food our Back to Business package will inspire customer confidence and ensure your premises are as safe as they can be when you open your doors.

After a year of restrictions, hospitality closures and life being anything but “normal” it is important to plan and prepare for when you open back up and start to welcome customers back to your business.

Our package contains a variety of courses including Level 2 Food Hygiene, Covid-19 training and Reopening Your Business in The Hospitality Sector as well as a carefully selected number of resources, with the aim to provide you and your staff with the knowledge needed to promote a safe and covid secure environment.

We also offer this package aimed at those supervising others working with or handling food such as Head Chefs, Team Leaders, Managers and Supervisors here.

Courses:

Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene

Our Level 2 Food course is one of our most-popular courses. Our RoSPA Assured training provides food handlers with all the information they need to be able to carry out their roles safely, ranging from how to clean and disinfect equipment, safely store and prepare food, and control common pests. On completion, you will know all you need to be compliant and follow your legal obligations.

  • Food safety hazards and contamination 
  • Food preservation 
  • Storage and temperature control 
  • Legislation that governs food handling 
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) 

Covid-19 Training

This course aims to provide learners with information on COVID-19 and suggests best practice for businesses in the current climate. 

The modules within this course include:  

  • Introduction to the course 
  • What are the symptoms? 
  • How to prevent COVID-19 
  • Social distancing, self-isolation and shielding 
  • Best practices for work 

Reopening Your Business in The Hospitality Sector  

Aimed at both employers and employees, our Reopening Your Business in The Hospitality Sector online course helps answer the questions surrounding adapting your business to become covid safe. Using the government guidance and providing best practice advice, this course helps you find a way of returning to work safely. 

Modules within the course include:  

  • What social distancing means. 
  • What the terminology used by the government means. 
  • The impact of returning to work and how to plan and risk assess the work environment. 
  • The key things to consider when travel is needed for work. 
  • Things to consider when staff return to the workplace, including policies, procedures and training that should be considered.

The Food Standards Agency re-opening checklist will help ensure your food business re-opens as safe as possible with detailed information about what you need to do before welcoming customers back.  

Our food allergy posters are perfect to display front of house and in your kitchen to ensure customer safety and refresh your employees’ knowledge. 

Accreditation

The Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene course is RoSPA Assured and the certificate, awarded upon successful completion of this course, includes their logo. 

Entry requirements 

There are no entry requirements for this package, but a basic understanding of food safety is beneficial. 

Test and certificate

At the end of the Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene course, you will need to complete a test that consists of 30 multiple choice questions. Learners are required to achieve a 75% pass mark, and - if necessary - may attempt the test six times at no extra cost. If learners do not achieve the 75% pass mark, further attempts may be given by contacting our support team. 

You will receive an instant digital certificate for each of the three individual courses.  

To inspire customer confidence even further we would recommend printing off and displaying the certificates you will receive on completion of this course. By doing so it will show your training is up to date and you have completed relevant courses and taken extra steps to ensure their safety. 

Our training package offers training on food hygiene and advise on how best to operate when re-opening your business, but it’s important to ensure you are complying with all government guidelines.

Legislation

This Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering course is designed to help you comply with EU Regulation 852/2004, which requires food businesses to ensure that any employee who handles food is fully trained in food hygiene. The contents of this course also adhere to the Industry Standards set by People 1st and the Sector Skills Council for the Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism industries.
