Package description

Consisting of eight short online courses, this package, filled with valuable insights and practical tips, is designed to help develop the managers and leaders of the future. It not only covers important skills such as communication, performance management, leadership styles and managing teams, but it also encourages the learner to truly understand themselves and build on their own personal effectiveness – essential insights if they are to really thrive as a manager.

The package is the most cost effective way to boost your leadership and management knowledge, it gives you a £70 saving compared to the courses being purchased individually.

The courses available in this package are:

Understanding Yourself: topics covered include growth mindset and emotional intelligence.

The Role of the Manager: topics covered include leadership management styles and qualities of a good leader.

Personal Effectiveness: topics covered include assertiveness and the importance of personal effectiveness.

Performance Management: topics covered include reviewing performance, setting objectives and recognising needs at different stages of career.

Communication: topics include skills to improve communication, how to assess your own strengths, and managing conflict.

Coaching: topics include coaching questions, conversation structure and active listening skills.

Managing Teams: topics include the John Adair action-centred leadership model, assessing the needs of your team, and practical tips to help them perform better.

Managing Change: topics include how to effectively plan for change and how to help people transition through change.

Who is this package for?

This Leadership and Management Training package is suitable for new, aspiring or experienced managers and leaders working in any sector who are looking to improve and develop their leadership and management knowledge.

Testing and certification

At the end of course within the package, there is a test consisting of multiple choice questions, for which a pass mark of at least 75% is required. Learners can have as many as six attempts at the test at no extra cost, and further tries can be arranged by contacting the Virtual College team.

After achieving a pass mark of 75%, learners will be able to download and print a CPD certified Virtual College certificate for their records for each course giving you eight certificates in total.

Course duration

The leadership and management training package will take 7-8 hours to complete in total but this can be done at your convenience with your progress automatically saved along the way.

Each course lasts from 45 minutes to an hour to complete.
