First Aid is an essential part of Health and Safety Training and can make a big difference to survival chances when an accident or emergency occurs. Thousands of accidents and emergencies happen every year and, unfortunately, many of those who die could have survived if first aid had been given sooner. Knowing what to do if you’re the first on the scene could save someone’s life.
The course will give you knowledge on how to act safely in emergency situations. You’ll learn how to follow the DRABC approach, which means you’ll find out: how to assess a casualty, how to put them into the recovery position and you’ll learn when and how to do CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
