Package description

This Food Hygiene training pack satisfies a learners legal requirement for working in a food environment and fire safety training and extends to manager and supervisor responsibilities. This First Aid training course was to give learners the knowledge on how to act safely and effectively in the event of an incident.

Anyone who works in the food industry needs to be aware of the latest food hygiene standards and how they can impact both staff and consumers. Knowing how to clean and disinfect equipment, safely store and prepare food to avoid cross-contamination, and control common pests will allow you to handle food safely and ensure that you’re complying with all of the relevant health and safety standards.

Understanding the common food allergies and what businesses should do to inform consumers helps you to meet obligations around the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation. They can also benefit from peripheral courses which bolster their skills in areas such as first aid and fire safety to educate staff on the proper fire emergency procedures.

The Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering certificate is a great way to boost staff development, give confidence to customers and demonstrate the compliance of your organisation.

The Level 3 Food Hygiene certificate is aimed at any business striving to achieve a 5* rating under the national hygiene rating system. Boost knowledge, confidence and understanding and receive a high quality certificate to demonstrate training has taken place.

The first aid course teaches learners to follow the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines for basic to advanced life support training. Learners will know what to do if they are first on the scene of an incident, how to assess the situation as a potential danger zone and understand the importance of the recovery position and how they may apply it.

Employers are legally required by Fire Safety Regulations (The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005) to provide information, instruction and training to employees about fire precautions in the workplace. This Virtual College online fire safety course helps you to fulfil this obligation by providing your staff with the knowledge and understanding required to act safely in the event of a fire in the workplace. This course will help learners understand the legal requirements for fire safety, gain knowledge of fire prevention and understand warning systems and what to do.

The material is provided in an interactive format that is designed to be engaging and accessible. A basic knowledge of food hygiene will mean learners progress quickly, but the course is designed for anyone working in the service or hospitality sectors and should be suitable for any staff member to give them the knowledge needed to work effectively and safely.
