What is Cyber Security?The course starts by explaining what cyber security is, the importance of it in the workplace and the consequences of not implementing cyber security measures. It also looks at a few famous cyber attacks and what happened to the companies involved. The opening part of the course ends with a series of audio clips to help you get inside the mind of a hacker to understand why they do it and where the threats can come from.
Cyber Threats UncoveredHere the course explains the different cyber threats, what they are and how you can protect yourself from them. It also details the rising threat of AI by explaining the different techniques and types of threat.
Safe Digital PracticesThe third part of the course explains how you can protect yourself against common online threats, including securing your social media accounts. It looks at remote working, how to protect your computer, WiFi protection, how to beat hackers, stay alert and detect AI.
GDPR and Data ProtectionKeeping personal and company information private is important and in the penultimate section of the course we look at what GDPR is and its key terms, the best practices for data protection, how to control your data and advanced data protection technologies.

What to do if it goes wrong

The course ends with looking at what to do if you fall victim to a cyber attack and suffer a data breach and the importance of future proofing your cyber security practices.

Assessment and certificate

The end of course assessment consists of 14 multiple choice questions. Learners are required to achieve a 80% pass mark, and can attempt the test as many times as is required.

If learners do not achieve the pass mark, further attempts may be given by contacting our support team.

Learners will be able to download a CPD certified Cyber Security Awareness training digital certificate on completion.

Course duration

This course will take approximately one hour to complete. As an e-learning course you can complete this training in convenient stages. The learning management system will automatically record your progress throughout so the training can be completed at your convenience.
