COSHH and Fire Safety Training Package

This training pack contains two health and safety courses for workers in any sector. The Fire Safety training conforms to government fire safety regulations and allows employers to train their staff to the legal requirements.

By completing this COSHH training course, learners will be able to work with hazardous substances safely and effectively in a way that is appropriate to their work. Employees will understand the risks associated with dangerous substances, and the precautions they can take to ensure their safety.

This training material will provide learners with the facts about the COSHH legislation and how important it is for businesses to ensure employee safety. Learners will recognise the responsibilities of employees and employers when it comes to COSHH regulations, understand COSHH guidelines and learners will also be able to identify harmful substances in the workplace and their effects.

The Virtual College Fire Safety course provides learners with the knowledge and understanding required to act safely in the event of a fire in the workplace. This fire safety course will help learners understand the legal requirements for fire safety. Learners will gain knowledge of fire prevention and will understand warning systems and what to do. They will learn what key factors are involved in the event of an evacuation, recognise different types of fire, and what fire extinguishers they can use.

Accreditation

The content of this training pack has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.

Duration

These Courses will take approximately one to two hours each to complete, depending on how quickly learners can study and absorb the material. Learners do not have to complete all the training in one session as progress is recorded throughout.

Test and certificate

After passing the end of course test you will be able to download a fire safety certificate and a COSHH certificate. These can be printed and we suggest you keep them for your records.
