Safeguarding Children Level 2 introduces key areas of safeguarding and is suitable for a range of roles including; administrators, teaching assistants, and early years practitioners. This course will ensure you have up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding policies, legislation and guidance, and includes ways you can reduce the risk of abuse, the signs and symptoms of different types of abuse, and the impact well-known child abuse and neglect cases have had on legislation.
This Level 2 Safeguarding Children introduces safeguarding as a topic and covers key safeguarding areas such as, safeguarding jargon, working in a multi-agency approach and best practice.

This Safeguarding Children Level 2 course has been updated to be compliant with new Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022 legislation and how this applies in the workplace or when working with children and young people.

This Safeguarding Children Level 2 online course is suitable for a range of roles which includes frequent or regularly work with vulnerable children. Some of these roles may include administrators and reception staff, teaching assistants, nursery staff, early years practitioners and safeguarding teams.
The content of this safeguarding children level 2 course has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.
The safeguarding children level 2 course should take approximately 1-2 hours to complete. The length of time taken depends entirely on how quickly you can study and absorb the material. You can proceed as quickly or slowly as you like, and there is no limit on how long you can take to do the level 2 safeguarding course.
There are no specific entry requirements for this level 2 safeguarding course.
The end of safeguarding level 2 training course test consists of 15 multiple choice questions. Learners are required to achieve a 75% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the safeguarding level 2 training test six times at no extra cost.
If learners do not achieve the 75% pass mark, further attempts may be given by contacting our support team.
Learners will be able to download a safeguarding level 2 course digital certificate on completion. This can be printed, and we suggest you keep it for your records.

There are several differences between level 1 and level 2 safeguarding children training.
Level 1 Safeguarding is an introductory course designed to give an overview of the different types of abuse, how to recognise it and report unsafe practices.
Level 2 Safeguarding goes into more depth and is aimed at those who regularly work with children. The course covers everything included in the Level 1 training as well as looking at multi-agency working, legislation and safeguarding procedures.
The end of safeguarding level 2 training course test consists of 15 multiple choice questions. Learners are required to achieve a 75% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the safeguarding level 2 training test six times at no extra cost.
Different training providers produce slightly different safeguarding courses at each level, which means that there’s no standardised guidance on how often you need to receive refresher training for Level 3 safeguarding. The general guidance is that training should be refreshed every 2 years, but as a Level 3 practitioner, you may need to undertake more frequent or specialised training to be able to fulfil the requirements of your role.
